Hiller lake(pink lake)
Scientists have proved the strange pink color is owing to the presence of alga that is sometimes the reason behindstrange coloration.pink lake was visited by the Matthew  expedition on fifteen Jan 1802. Flinders' journal entries ar thought of to be the primary written records of the lake. Flinders determined the pink lake once ascending the island's highest peak (now known as Flinders Peak).
The lake is not always pink but the distinctive colour of the water changes as a result of green alga. From higher than the lake seems a solid chewing gum pink. The lake is regarding 600 meters long, and is encircled by a rim of sand and dense solid ground of paperbark and eucalyptus trees. A slim strip of sand dunes lined by vegetation separates it from the blue Southern Ocean.Middle Island and its pink lake area unit situated in an exceedingly pristine geographic area.
